Les Brown Jr. of the Band of Renown endorses B. Taylor

October 03rd, 2011  by  Webmaster

My Thoughts on B.Taylor

Les Brown

World renowned musician, record producer, actor, concert producer, PBS Executive Producer, and son of the founder and first president of NARAS (Grammy Foundation). www.bandofrenown.com

I have spent most of my 71 years involved in music, as a player, composer, producer, singer, band leader, and fan. What I’ve learned over those years is that you never stop learning and growing in this business. I have been able to embrace many different styles and genres and I’ve always tried to keep an open mind when hearing something new.

There have been many negative things said about Hip/Hop and Rap music by my generation but I don’t think they understand that all art is a reflection of what is going on in the world according to that artist’s reality.

What I particularly like about B.’s music is the positive message. He is a winner, in his personal life and especially in his musical life. His “One Life to Live” shows his mother’s message sunk in and he got it. “Fire in Your Eyes” shows that with determination and focus one can achieve anything they set their mind to.

There is no doubt in my mind that B. Taylor has set his mind to something and the fire is in his eyes. The power of that coupled with his talent is a force that will insure success and longevity.

I look forward to the day when we can work together, Hip/Hop with a full swing band, Oh Yeah.

Les Brown, Jr.
